The Access and Care Workgroup is dedicated to advancing equitable access to essential healthcare services for Medicaid eligible pregnant and postpartum women, as well as for infants. The workgroup systematically examines structural, logistical, and social barriers that impede timely and effective care. Through coordinated analysis, stakeholder engagement, and evidence informed strategies, the workgroup seeks to improve care accessibility, strengthen service delivery pathways, and support optimal maternal and child health outcomes.
Its current areas of focus include evaluating and addressing obstacles related to transportation and access to dental services for pregnant and postpartum populations.
