CMS issued an extension of the HCBS deadline for the settings criteria until March 2022. This extension applies only to HCBS settings as they were the only part of the regulation that had a transition period. All other requirements (person-centered planning and conflict-free case management) were (and still are) to be in place effective March 17, 2014.
