Updates to State Plan Emergency Ambulance Service Rates

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is increasing reimbursement rates for specific emergency ambulance services included in this bulletin.
Rate Increases for Emergency Ambulance Services
Effective July 1, 2022, reimbursement for the below-listed codes will be increased as follows:

| Ambulance Service, Basic Life Support, Emergency Transport | A0429 | $126.82 (per trip) | $139.50 (per trip) |
The new rates will be reflected on the SCDHHS Ambulance Fee Schedule by July 1, 2022.
Providers should direct any questions related to this bulletin to the Provider Service Center at (888) 289-0709. The Provider Service Center’s hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday.
