Updated Home and Community-based Services Provider Manual Available

MB#
24-040

As announced in Medicaid Bulletin #24-021, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) has updated its Community Long Term Care (CTLC) Provider Manual and changed the name of the manual to the Home and Community-based Services (HCBS) Provider Manual. The updated manual is now available on the providers manual page of SCDHHS’ website. SCDHHS appreciates providers taking time to submit feedback on the draft of the manual distributed May 31, 2024.

The updated manual includes the inclusion of the scopes of services formerly found in Section 6, which are now available in the Eligible Providers section of the updated HCBS Provider Manual. The scopes and standards have been updated to include standards for incontinence supply, pest control and advanced pest control services. Individualized scopes and standards will also be available in the Help section of the Phoenix Provider Portal.

Providers should direct any questions related to this bulletin to provider-distribution@scdhhs.gov.

Thank you for your continued support of the South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid program.
