The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ (SCDHHS’) five-year renewal application for the HCBS 1915(c) Community Choices (CC) and the HIV/AIDS waiver programs. The approved renewal applications are available on the waivers page of SCDHHS’ website and are retroactive to July 1, 2026.

CMS approved all changes submitted for the CC and HIV/AIDS waiver applications. These changes were previously announced during the March 20, 2026, CC and HIV/AIDS Waivers Amendments webinar and are also available on SCDHHS’ website.
